Handheld Frequency and Power Meter
 
The MFP-8000 manual field indicator measures the frequency and power of radio signals and provides a useful, handy tool to conducting a wide range of research, diagnostic, adjustment and search work with radio devices.

 



MFP-8000 enables its user to:

  • Determine the frequency of an input signal within the range from 100 kHz to 8 GHz.
  • Measure power level of the input signal within the range from -60dBm to +30dBm.
  • Identify the signals of mobile and telephone communication systems (GSM 900/1800/1900, DECT) by their signal characteristics
  • Determine “SMS” or “Voice” operating modesand frequency values of GSM communications.
  • Tune panoramic radio receivers and other devices automatically to a signal frequency measured by MFP-8000 (option: interface available by special order).
  • Use built-in memory of the device, incl. clock and calendar to protocol and store results measured.
  • Perform “acoustic-bonding” mode used during search work.
  • Support watch mode when signal power exceeds a preset threshold.

 

MFP-8000 provides:

  • Input attenuator adjustable in steps of 10dB
  • Frequency gate time selectable in range 1 - 1000 msec
  • Selectable frequency ranges 0 - 200 MHz, 0.1 - 2.5 GHz, 2.5 - 8.0 GHz)
  • Device gives feedback, whenever signal level exceeds threshold set the operator
  • Battery status indicator
  • Real-time clock and calendar
  • Display illuminator and acoustic Indicator
